Health Care Provider Section
This section is dedicated to providing other health care providers (Medical Doctors, Physiotherapists, Massage therapists, Athletic therapists, Midwives, etc.) with information about our office and chiropractic in general.
In working with many local health care providers over the past several years we have realized there is a need in Cambridge for a contemporary chiropractic office that health care providers feel comfortable in referring their patients to. As well, in establishing professional links with several physiotherapy clinics, we have seen first hand how patients benefit when health care professionals work together; when it comes to musculoskeletal conditions we may not always have the same approach but we respect these differences!
PUTTING PATIENTS FIRST MEANS RESPECTING OTHER TREATMENT APPROACHES AND THEIR PROVIDERS
Our practice style is best described as acute care, evidence-based chiropractic. In our office we use outcome based treatment protocols. Outcome measures such as the Oswestry disability indices and visual analog scales are used initially and during re-evaluation to objectively measure treatment efficacy and monitor improvement. We encourage patient independence of care and provide patients with the tools to prevent relapse on their own. We do have patients that require some form of regular ongoing care but for the most part, patients leave our office knowing they can return at any time should a relapse occur. We provide patients with our recommendations but empower them with the notion that ultimately their health is their responsibility.
OUR GOAL IS TO WORK WITH OTHER HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE BEST POSSIBLE CARE
